Chase Sexton of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing won the 17-round 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship, his second of the year. Justin Cooper of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing finished second at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, putting up his greatest performance of the season in his debut year. Cooper Webb of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing finished in third position, good for second overall in the season despite being injured. Webb still has a mathematical chance to win the title. After winning eight races in his debut 450SX Class Supercross season, Jett Lawrence of Team Honda HRC went close to the front early on but seemed to back off to finish in a comfortable seventh position and win his first Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in the 450SX Class. Lawrence made history by being just the third rider to win the championship in his first year of competition.

The Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown pitted the two Regional Champions of the 250SX Class against one another. Haiden Deegan of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing won his maiden East/West Showdown and secured his third career victory by taking the holeshot and holding off multiple challenges.
